The LGCA (Lyde Green Community Association) is run by local volunteers, with the objective of generating community spirit and making Lyde Green a great place to live and visit. As well as organising community events, LGCA work with local partners, including the building consortium and local council, to influence issues that matter to Lyde Green residents.
In April 2017, LGCA became a registered charity (Registered Charity number 1172725), which provides a solid foundation to further develop their positive contribution to Lyde Green.
The success of all LGCA activity is dependent upon the time and efforts of its volunteers. There are plenty of ways that Lyde Greeners can get involved, from becoming a committee member, helping to share community news, fundraising or helping with events. There are opportunities to get involved no matter how much or little time you have to spare and whether you can bring relevant expertise or are looking to develop new skills. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
LGCA have also been chosen to run the Lyde Green Community Centre which opened its doors in late Summer 2018. You can find more information about the Centre on their website at www.lydegreenca.org/centre
